 This marks their first home league loss since February 2019, when they were beaten by Huesca.

Despite the setback, Barcelona remains comfortably at the top of the Liga F table, maintaining an eight-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid. 

The reigning Spanish and European champions have been dominant throughout the season, with this being only their second loss in all competitions. Their previous defeat came in October during the Champions League, where they fell 2-0 to Manchester City.
