President Tinubu Lands in Saint Lucia for Official Visit
As part of his state visit, President Bola Tinubu arrived in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia. Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga revealed this in a statement on Saturday evening.
He said that Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre and His Excellency Errol Melchiades Charles, the Governor-General of Saint Lucia, welcomed Tinubu with full military honors when he arrived at Hewanorra International Airport.
Onanuga says the visit is the first part of his trip to South America and the Caribbean, which he is taking in two countries.
On Sunday, Tinubu will begin the state visit by making courtesy calls to Prime Minister Philip Pierre and the Governor-General.
On Monday, the President will speak to a special joint session of the Saint Lucian Senate and House of Assembly. It will be held at the William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom in Gros Islet, Sandals Grande.
