Ayra Starr Makes History as First African Artist to Receive Latin Diamond Certification

Afropop star Ayra Starr have made the Nigerian music industry proud as she became first African artist to receive the Latin Diamond certification.

This came after her international collaboration with Rvssian and Rauw Alejandro, ‘Santa’, got certified Latin Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for  grossing over 35 million streams.

Ayra Starr now joins Rema, whose song ‘Bubalu’ is certified Platinum, as the only African artists with RIAA Latin certifications.

‘Santa’ is also certified multiple Platinum in Spain and Mexico. It topped the Spanish chart and peaked at No. 2 in Colombia, Ecuador, and Central America.
