Bauchi Governor Appoints New Senior Special Assistant on Communication
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed Abdulwahab Mohammed as the new Senior Special Assistant on Communication.
The appointment was announced in a statement released on Friday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
Gidado described Abdulwahab as a seasoned journalist with extensive experience, having previously worked with the Hausa Service of the Voice of America. He said the appointment underscores Governor Mohammed’s dedication to improving the state's communication strategies and strengthening public engagement.
“The new SSA will be instrumental in promoting government policies and programmes, boosting public awareness, and advancing transparency and good governance,” Gidado stated.
He also highlighted Abdulwahab’s reputation for professionalism and objectivity, noting that his experience makes him a credible and respected figure in the media space.
Governor Mohammed congratulated Abdulwahab on the appointment and urged him to leverage his expertise to support the administration’s goal of fostering a well-informed and inclusive society.
The appointment is effective immediately.
