Cristiano Ronaldo Criticizes Manchester United Over Players’ Mindset

Cristiano Ronaldo has delivered a sharp critique of his former club, Manchester United, claiming that some players lack the right mindset.

In an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo expressed sadness over the state of the club, which he described as “one of the most important of the century.”

Commenting on current manager Ruben Amorim, who has United just two points off second place after 10 games this season, Ronaldo said the Portuguese coach is doing his best but cannot work miracles.

“He is doing his best,” Ronaldo said. “What can you do? Miracles. Miracles are impossible. As we say in Portugal, ‘Miracles are only in Fatima.’ He’s not going to perform miracles.”

Ronaldo added that while Manchester United has talented players, some do not understand what the club truly represents.

“For me, I’m sad because of the club,” he said. “It’s one of the most important clubs in the world, and it will always have a place in my heart. You need intelligent and smart people to build a foundation for the future, as Manchester United did many years ago. Nicky Butt, Gary Neville, Roy Keane, David Beckham—they became great players because of the youth system. Right now, Manchester United lacks that structure.”

He concluded on a hopeful note, emphasizing the club’s potential: “I hope this changes in the present and future because the potential of the club is incredible. It remains one of the most important clubs of the century.”
