The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has established its state collation centre for the ongoing Anambra State governorship election.
A visit to the INEC headquarters in Awka confirmed that the collation centre has been set up within the commission’s premises.
An INEC official, who preferred to remain anonymous, revealed that the commission will start receiving results from the local government areas as soon as they are ready.
Anambra State comprises 21 LGAs. Despite having a generally good road network, some areas—especially those situated in riverine communities—remain difficult to access.
