Man Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Wife Four Days After Childbirth

 

A man has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly assaulting his wife just four days after she gave birth to their baby.

The incident was brought to public attention by actress Omosalewa Fafowora, who shared a video showing the moment police officers arrived at the couple’s residence to apprehend the suspect.

In the footage, one of the officers revealed that the victim was in critical condition and receiving oxygen treatment at the hospital. An elderly woman was also seen in the video holding the newborn.

Fafowora further alleged that the man brutally attacked his wife in the presence of her mother, causing her to lose consciousness before being rushed to the hospital.

In response to the video, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency confirmed the arrest and stated that the case is under investigation.
