Reports indicate that Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal, 18, and Argentine pop singer Nicki Nicole, 25, have ended their relationship following widespread speculation that the young footballer had been unfaithful.
Spanish journalist and YouTuber Javier de Hoyos revealed on national television over the weekend that he received a direct message from Yamal confirming the breakup. In the message, Yamal firmly denied allegations that he cheated on Nicki Nicole with an Italian influencer.
The pair made their relationship public in late August while celebrating Nicki Nicole’s 25th birthday, roughly a month after they were first spotted together at a nightclub.
De Hoyos, who was the first to report on the couple, shared the contents of Yamal’s message on the Spanish TV show D Corazon. Yamal addressed the swirling rumors head-on, clarifying details about his recent trip to Italy. He stated that he and Nicki were no longer together at the time and insisted that “he hasn’t been with anyone else.”
So far, neither Lamine Yamal nor Nicki Nicole has publicly commented on the breakup through their social media accounts. Earlier this month, the couple had shared moments from a romantic getaway—including a helicopter ride—while Yamal was recovering from an injury.
The separation comes as the young forward is making headlines for several other reasons. Rumors recently linked him to Italian influencer Anna Gegnoso during a visit to Milan, fueling further speculation that Yamal has now dismissed.
On the sporting front, the teenager is battling a health concern. According to Catalan outlet Sport, Yamal is suffering from pubalgia, a condition that causes pain around the pubic region. Barcelona officials are reportedly worried that the issue could become chronic and affect his long-term performance.
In unrelated news, Yamal also attracted attention for a high-profile property purchase. He recently posted a photo outside a luxury home Spanish media say once belonged to former Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué and singer Shakira—reportedly purchased for £9.5 million.
