Youngest victim of Huntingdon train attack identified as actor Damson Idris’ 17-year-old nephew

The 17-year-old nephew of British-Nigerian Hollywood actor Damson Idris has been identified as one of the youngest victims linked to the Huntingdon train knife rampage.

Isaiah Ishmael Idris sustained facial wounds after being slashed while travelling on the Docklands Light Railway in the early hours of Saturday, according to the Daily Mail. The sixth-form student is believed to have stumbled off the train at Pontoon Dock station in east London, where he called emergency services.

Isaiah’s uncle, Damson Idris, 34, is known for starring alongside Brad Pitt as rookie driver Joshua Pearce in F1: The Movie, inspired by Formula One legend James Hunt.

On Monday, 32-year-old Anthony Williams appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody on 10 counts of attempted murder following Saturday night’s mass stabbing aboard a Doncaster-to-London King’s Cross LNER service, which was forced to make an emergency stop at Huntingdon.

Isaiah’s attack occurred at 12:46 a.m. on November 1 at a DLR station. Williams, later identified by British Transport Police as the suspect, had fled before officers arrived.

Another uncle, Habeeb Idris, confirmed the teenager was injured, telling the Mail: “I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family.”

Damson Idris, born in Peckham and the youngest of six children, is the younger brother of Murtala Murray Idris, Isaiah’s father.

Meanwhile, Cambridgeshire Police are investigating whether a September 27 attack—where a man also suffered facial injuries—is connected to the mass stabbing on the train.
