The southern Israeli community of Zavdiel was struck amid an Iranian barrage on Sunday night, according to Israeli authorities.
The Israel Police said “projectile debris” struck the residential community as well as nearby open areas. The Israeli military said a synagogue was damaged.
No injuries have been reported, the police spokesperson said.
Southern District police officers and bomb disposal experts are at the scene identifying and isolating impact zones.
Israel’s emergency services evacuated two individuals with mild injuries in Israel’s southern region.
Earlier, an Iranian barrage hit northern Israel, leading to the evacuation of seven injured people, according to emergency services. A building was directly hit in the northern Israeli city of Haifa, say emergency services, with video showing scenes of destruction in an area of the coastal city.
