We're seeing images showing people taking part in prayer ceremonies in the cities of Patna and Siliguri.

They are lighting candles for the victims of today's crash in Ahmedabad

At Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital, Dr Dhaval Gameti says he examined the lone survivor of the crash, whom he identified as Vishwash Kumar Ramesh.

“He was disoriented with multiple injuries all over his body,” Gameti told The Associated Press news agency. “But he seems to be out of danger.”

Earlier, we reported that The Hindustan Times spoke with Ramesh, a British national.

“Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly,” Ramesh told the Indian news outlet.
