According to a statement issued on Thursday, July 10, 2025, by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the suspects—Jamila Nuhu and Fatima Mohammed—confessed to committing the crime.
The statement revealed that the arrest followed a complaint lodged on July 3, 2025, at 'A' Division, Minna, alleging that a domestic worker had been stealing from her employer in the Limawa area of the city.
"During the investigation, 23-year-old Jamila Nuhu of Limawa was identified and apprehended in connection with the theft," the statement read.
"Upon interrogation, she admitted to the crime and revealed she had acted in collaboration with her friend, Fatima Mohammed, 20, of Angwan-Daji, who was subsequently arrested as well."
Further investigation led to the recovery of approximately fifteen wrappers and various kitchen utensils from locations in Minna and Kaduna State, where some of the stolen items had reportedly been sent to the suspects' relatives.
