Galatasaray’s bid for Osimhen rejected as Napoli push for Saudi deal.

Galatasaray’s bid for Osimhen rejected as Napoli push for Saudi deal.

Napoli have reportedly turned down a €75 million offer from Galatasaray for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, despite the Turkish club meeting the official release clause in the player’s contract.

The update was shared by Nigerian sports journalist and transfer insider Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba.

According to Onokala, Napoli are deliberately blocking the move to Galatasaray as they aim to secure a more lucrative transfer for Osimhen to a Saudi Arabian club.

“Napoli officially rejects Galatasaray’s third €75m bid for Victor Osimhen — the full release clause amount,” Onokala wrote.

He also revealed that Osimhen is keen to return to Galatasaray, where he previously had a successful loan spell, and has no interest in moving to the Middle East.

“Victor James Osimhen says YES to Galatasaray and wants to continue with the Turkish team,” Onokala added.

Despite the striker’s approval of the Galatasaray deal, Napoli’s decision to reject the bid appears to be a strategic move aimed at steering him toward a more financially rewarding transfer to Saudi Arabia.
