Edo State Governor, Okpebholo, has stood by his recent comments advising Peter Obi not to visit the state without prior notice, declaring, “If telling Peter Obi not to come to Edo without informing me is a crime, so be it.”

Addressing the controversy, the governor maintained he has no regrets about his remarks, emphasizing that as the chief security officer of the state, it was his duty to speak up.

He clarified that his statement was meant as a piece of advice, not a threat, and underscored his commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Edo residents.
