Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo recently delivered a heartfelt message to mothers, urging them to break free from harmful generational patterns and create a positive environment for their children.
Speaking at her daughter Priscilla’s baby shower in Canada over the weekend, Iyabo highlighted the importance of intentional parenting and the power of positive affirmations.
She encouraged mothers to reject the belief that negative experiences from their past must affect their children and stressed the need to use faith and positive declarations to break destructive cycles and build a brighter future.
The mother of two explained, “Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for your children. I made certain decisions to be here today and to have this baby, and whatever comes from it — good or bad — will not be a burden for my children. I will never deny them their blessings.
“When mothers carry pain and struggle and pass it onto their children, they end up depriving them. Ancestral curses can’t be broken if you continue to lead them. To break free, you must stop the cycle and bring it to an end.”
