Tragedy struck a military family as one of three biological brothers serving in the Nigerian Armed Forces lost his life in combat on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
His sibling, who also serves in the military and is known on X (formerly Twitter) as @3StarGod, announced the heartbreaking news in a post on Wednesday.
“It is with deep sadness that I announce that one among the three brothers serving paid the supreme price yesterday, July 29th. As a family, we will appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time. If you come across this, pray for the soul of my brother,” he wrote.
He added in a heartfelt tribute:
“Death really punched me in the face by taking you away from the rest of us. You will be deeply missed by the family and everyone who knew you. Rest In Power, Kiddo.”
Back in 2020, the soldier had shared his pride in serving alongside his two brothers, writing:
"My Mama gave birth to four cute boys, and she wholeheartedly gave the hands of three in marriage to the Nigerian Armed Forces. A strong woman she is."
The fallen soldier’s sacrifice has drawn sympathy and prayers from many Nigerians online, who are praising the family's service and mourning the loss of a national hero.a
