Tension as Security Prevents Natasha from Entering National Assembly

There was a mild standoff at the National Assembly on Tuesday, July 22, as security operatives blocked Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from entering the premises.

The lawmaker, who had been suspended by the Senate for six months, had announced plans to resume her legislative duties following a court ruling ordering her reinstatement.

However, upon arriving at the complex, security officials denied her entry. Senator Natasha then proceeded on foot to a secondary entrance, accompanied by well-known activist Aisha Yesufu.

The incident attracted public attention, with supporters raising concerns over the apparent disregard for the court's directive.
