Nigeria’s D’Tigress and Senegal will face off in the semi-finals of the ongoing 2025 Women’s AfroBasket in CĂ´te d’Ivoire.
Senegal secured their spot in the last four by defeating hosts CĂ´te d’Ivoire 66-60 in a fiercely contested quarter-final match. The Senegalese team is coached by former D’Tigress coach Otis Hughley.
Meanwhile, Nigeria dominated Cameroon with an 83-47 victory to advance to the semi-finals. Led by coach Rena Wakama, the D’Tigress remain unbeaten in 27 consecutive games at the Women’s AfroBasket finals.
Nigeria aims to make history by becoming the first team to win five consecutive titles in the tournament’s history.
In the other semi-final clash, Mali will take on South Sudan.
