Barcelona have successfully registered Marcus Rashford with LaLiga ahead of their opening fixture against Mallorca on Saturday.
The Spanish champions confirmed earlier today that the England forward will be included in the matchday squad.
Manager Hansi Flick admitted he was unhappy with the uncertainty surrounding Rashford’s eligibility but expressed relief that the issue was resolved before kickoff.
To create the necessary salary space, Barça finalized two key financial moves on Friday: the sale of their remaining 50% rights to Francisco Trincão to Sporting CP for €11 million, and a revised contract for Jules Koundé that spreads amortization payments on his €55m transfer fee over three additional years.
Rashford joined Barcelona on a season-long loan from Manchester United last month.
