Former Arsenal Director Richard Carr Passes Away

Former Arsenal director and board member Richard Carr has died, the Premier League club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.

In its tribute, the North London side expressed deep condolences to Carr’s family and friends, remembering his contributions to the club and wishing him eternal rest.

“We are sad to learn that former Arsenal director and board member Richard Carr has passed away,” the statement read.

“Everyone at the club is thinking of Richard’s loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Richard.”

Carr’s passing comes just days before Arsenal’s high-profile Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Born in 1938, Carr was a significant figure in the club’s history, holding nearly five percent of Arsenal’s shares until May 2008, when he sold them to current owner Stan Kroenke.
