Spanish striker Álvaro Morata has signed for Serie A club Como after cutting short his loan spell at Galatasaray.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move on Monday, stating: “It’s all signed: Álvaro Morata can be considered the new Como player from AC Milan after Galatasaray loan broke.”
The 32-year-old, who spent the latter half of last season on loan in Turkey, opted to join Como in pursuit of a more prominent role than he enjoyed at AC Milan last term.
Morata featured in 25 competitive games for Milan last season—starting 21—netting six goals and providing one assist. At Galatasaray, he recorded seven goals and one assist in 16 appearances.
With ambitions to become a force in Italian football, Como see Morata as a central figure in their long-term plans. The final formality will be completing his registration with the club now that his Galatasaray loan has been officially terminated.
