Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Olayemi Cardoso on Thursday hosted World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the Bank’s headquarters in Abuja for a high-level meeting on trade matters.
The CBN announced the visit in a post on X, titled “Discussing Trade Matters”. Joining the talks were Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Jumoke Oduwole and Nigeria’s Ambassador to the WTO, Adamu Abdulhamid.
The closed-door session focused on Nigeria’s trade policies and its engagement with global markets. While formal details of the discussions have not yet been disclosed, the meeting underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s position in international trade.
