PDP crisis: Devil influencing some members, says Damagum

The acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has claimed that the devil is using certain party members to create crises within the party.

Damagum made the remarks during a meeting with PDP state chairmen in Abuja, led by the forum chairman Tony Aziegbemi (Edo) and forum secretary Edward Masha (Kaduna). The state chairmen had visited to affirm their loyalty to him.

Addressing those causing disruptions, Damagum warned that actions against the party would not go unpunished. “I want to call on our colleagues who are being influenced by the devil to see wisdom and reject it,” he said. “Treachery, especially against an institution that has shaped you, will not bring lasting benefit. You may feel fortunate now, but the law of karma applies. What goes around comes around.”

He further emphasized his faith and moral conviction, noting that people sometimes misinterpret adherence to God’s ways as weakness. “We exist because God exists. Everything we do is owed to Him. He is watching and will judge us by our behavior,” Damagum said, concluding, “A word is enough for the wise.”
