Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has responded to claims suggesting that her recent contract with Roc Nation includes a clause preventing her from having a boyfriend or starting a family.
The 22-year-old recently signed a five-year management deal with Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by American music mogul Jay-Z.
Shortly after the deal was announced, speculation surfaced online alleging that the contract restricts her from engaging in romantic relationships or starting a family during its term.
A viral video posted by a podcaster on X (formerly Twitter) stated: “Ayra Starr isn’t allowed to have a boyfriend or start a family during her five-year contract with Roc Nation.”
Reacting to the rumour, Ayra Starr playfully wrote, “Does Ayra Starr know about this?”—indicating her surprise and denying any knowledge of such a clause.
She also reposted a tweet that read, “Them lie on top your head for broad daylight,” further affirming that the report was entirely false.
