FCT Minister Wike Urges Edo Governor Okpebholo to Hold Off on Probing Obaseki's Administration

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has urged Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, not to initiate a probe into the administration of his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki.

This comes after former Edo Governor and APC chieftain, Adams Oshiomhole, called on Okpebholo to investigate Obaseki’s tenure—a demand he made shortly after the Supreme Court affirmed Okpebholo's election.

During a visit to Edo State on Sunday, July 13, Wike appealed to Governor Okpebholo to let sleeping dogs lie for now and avoid any immediate probe. However, he advised the governor to take action if Obaseki begins to cause disruptions or interfere with his administration.
