Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, made the announcement while speaking to journalists at the Umaru Musa Yaradua International Airport in Katsina on Monday morning.
“Following consultations with his family and close associates in London, we have agreed that the late president’s body will arrive in Katsina by noon on Tuesday, with the burial scheduled to take place in Daura at approximately 2 p.m.,” Governor Radda said.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family on behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, describing the former president as a father figure whose legacy of integrity and public service remains unmatched.
Security has been heightened in Daura and neighboring communities in anticipation of the funeral, which is expected to draw dignitaries and mourners from across the country.
