Eti-Osa LG Renames Six Major Streets in Lagos, Following Bariga’s Tribute to Olamide

Just days after Bariga Local Council Development Area renamed the well-known Charly Boy bus stop to Olamide Baddo bus stop, the Eti-Osa Local Government Area has announced the renaming of six prominent streets as part of its ongoing street-naming and revalidation project.

In a statement issued on Friday, August 1, the Eti-Osa Council Manager, Mrs. Oluwakemi Oshun, revealed that the new street names take immediate effect.

According to the statement, the following changes have been made:

Tony Amadasun Road in Igbo Efon is now Chief Femi Pedro Road

Dr. Udo Wogu Drive in Chevy View has been renamed Chief Adebola Dosunmu Drive

Augusta Orji Street, along Aro Ologolo Road, is now Alhaji Adio Mayegun Street

Chike Mba Close in Osapa London becomes Hon. Sikiru Ashorota Close

Ugochukwu Orji Street in Igbo Efon is now Barr Wale Sanni Street

Fubara Dublin Green Street, also in Igbo Efon, has been renamed Rafiu Olukolu Street

Residents, businesses, and members of the public are advised to update their records and signage accordingly.

The local government stated that the renaming initiative is part of a broader effort to preserve cultural heritage, improve urban planning, facilitate navigation, and enhance identity management within the area.
