FULL LIST: Nigeria Among 67 Countries Hit by Trump’s New Tariffs

Nigeria is one of over 60 countries facing higher import duties under a new reciprocal-tariff programme announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Figures published on the White House website show that Nigeria will be subject to a 15% tariff. The policy sets a 10% baseline duty on all U.S. imports, with additional charges for certain countries or specific products.

China will face a 30% tariff plus extra levies on select goods, while Brazil tops the list at 50% — though some sectors, such as aircraft, energy, and orange juice, will have reduced rates. Canada will pay 10% on energy products and 35% on other goods not covered by the U.S.-Canada-Mexico Agreement. India is set at 25%, with another 25% threatened to take effect on August 28.

The White House says the measure aims to counter what it describes as unfair trade practices by ensuring “reciprocal” treatment for U.S. exports.
