Super Falcons star Tosin Demehin has signed a new deal with Galatasaray Women, extending her stay after a standout debut season in Turkey.
The 23-year-old centre-back joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2024 from French side Stade de Reims and quickly became a key player. She made 26 appearances across all competitions, scored once, and played a crucial role in helping the team secure a fourth-place finish in the Turkish Women’s Super League while also featuring in the club’s first-ever UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.
Her impressive club form mirrored her rise on the international stage. Demehin featured in every match for Nigeria at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where the Super Falcons lifted a record 10th title. She also scored her first international goal in the 5-0 quarter-final win over Zambia.
“It was a dream tournament for me — playing every game, scoring for my country, and lifting the trophy with my teammates,” she said afterward.
Demehin’s extension adds to the growing Nigerian presence at Galatasaray, with Victor Osimhen starring for the men’s side.
As the Istanbul club looks ahead to the 2025/26 season, her composure, aerial strength, and tactical intelligence will be central to their domestic and European ambitions.
