A shocking scandal has shaken a Brazilian parish after a priest was allegedly caught hiding the fiancée of one of his parishioners inside his home.
According to local reports, Reverend Luciano Braga Simplicio, who serves at Our Lady of Aparecida Parish, was confronted earlier this week by a group of enraged men who stormed the parish residence after suspecting suspicious activity.
A viral video from the scene shows the shirtless priest being questioned by the men as one of them forcefully broke down a bathroom door—revealing a woman hiding under the sink. The woman, visibly shaken, was dragged out and appeared too stunned to speak, lying on the floor in silence.
Local blog Pelo Bem de São José reported that Simplicio had allegedly smuggled the woman into the parish house earlier that morning while her fiancé, one of his regular parishioners, was out of town.
In his defense, the priest reportedly claimed that he merely allowed the woman to use the bathroom to shower after work, insisting the situation was a misunderstanding and a simple act of charity.
However, the duration of her stay in the house remains unclear, and the circumstances surrounding the incident suggest she may have been there far longer than a brief shower would justify.
