“You Did Nothing at Manchester United” – Ex-United Defender Paul Parker Blasts Marcus Rashford

Former Manchester United defender, Paul Parker, has launched a scathing attack on Marcus Rashford, accusing the forward of being lazy during his time at Old Trafford despite his recent resurgence at Barcelona.

Rashford, who was reportedly placed in the ‘Bomb Squad’ by then-manager Ruben Amorim due to poor performances, later moved on loan to Aston Villa before securing a switch to Barcelona.

Since joining the Catalan side, the England international has rediscovered his form, recording five goals and five assists in 12 appearances — including a brace in Barcelona’s 6-1 Champions League win over 10-man Olympiakos on Tuesday night.

Reacting to Rashford’s improved display, Parker told a betting outlet that the player “did absolutely nothing” while at Manchester United.

“He was lazy — he didn’t do anything,” Parker said. “He let his teammates down. If you asked any player in the UK whether they’d trust him as a teammate, the answer would be no.”

The former defender argued that Rashford lacked the hunger and urgency expected from someone representing his boyhood club, saying the drive to perform “as if it’s life and death” should have been second nature to him.

Parker added, “If you can’t give everything for your boyhood club and you’re willing to let down the rest of the team, that says a lot about you. To have been at the club since childhood and still fail to deliver puts him in a very bad position.”
