Sheikh Gumi Predicts a Muslim U.S. President

 

Nigerian Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has predicted that a Muslim will one day become President of the United States.

He made the statement on Facebook following the election of Zohran Mamdani as New York City’s first Muslim mayor.

Reacting to Mamdani’s victory on his verified Facebook page, Gumi wrote: “Mamdani has made it! ICU in Washington should be ready for heart attacks! Muslims will make it to the White House.”

Zohran Mamdani, 34, a Democratic candidate, recently won the New York City mayoral race, defeating Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa to become the city’s first Muslim mayor.
