Actor Martin Kove Faced 2024 Investigation Over Alleged Sexual Harassment on 'Cobra Kai' Set
Veteran actor Martin Kove was the subject of a s3xual harassment complaint in 2024 on the set of Cobra Kai, prompting an internal investigation by Sony Pictures Television, TMZ has confirmed.
The allegation, raised by a female extra during filming in Atlanta, centered on claims that Kove made her uncomfortable by allegedly leering and making an inappropriate comment. Sources close to the production indicate that no physical harassment was alleged, but the extra formally voiced her concerns.
Sony responded by launching an internal probe. Studio executives interviewed the extra, other cast and crew members, and Kove himself. Following the investigation, Kove was reportedly reprimanded but not removed from the set. He was also encouraged to apologize to the woman who filed the complaint.
In response to the accusation, Kove denied any wrongdoing. In a statement to Deadline, he said, “This is so bizarre as it was in April of last year. If there was something to confess, I would be the first to say it. Sony did ask me about the alleged incident, and I was completely transparent. It wasn't true then, and it isn't true now.”
The investigation occurred near the end of production on season six, and sources say Kove remained on set throughout. A person with knowledge of the matter also told TMZ that Kove cooperated fully and was ultimately exonerated.
This revelation surfaces just days after a separate incident at a fan convention in Washington state, where Kove was removed after biting his Cobra Kai co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim on the arm. Law enforcement confirmed the actor bit her hard enough that he nearly drew blood. Kove has since apologized for the bite.
It remains unclear whether he issued a direct apology to the extra involved in the 2024 complaint.
