"I’ll knock out Anthony Joshua" — Kingsley Ibeh issues challenge to Joshua

Nigerian-born heavyweight Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh has publicly challenged former unified world champion Anthony Joshua, calling for a fight to be held in Nigeria.

Ibeh, who has rattled off 11 straight wins since losing to Jared Anderson in 2021, most recently stopped former world title contender Gerald Washington in the third round. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said Joshua would be the perfect opponent to elevate his profile.

“We need the right platform and the right opponent to make a statement — and there’d be no better one than AJ,” Ibeh told Sky Sports. “That would be a dream come true. It would be amazing.”

He added that location wouldn’t be an issue. “I’m ready anywhere — even in Nigeria. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the UK. I’d love to dance with him at the O2 Arena. I would definitely stop him; no questions about that — it’s just a matter of how soon it happens.”
