Turkish football giants Galatasaray SK have officially announced the high-profile signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Italian side Napoli in a deal valued at €75 million.
The club made the announcement on Thursday, July 31, through its official social media channels, confirming that a full agreement had been reached with Napoli. The deal also includes a 10% sell-on clause, entitling Napoli to a share of any profit from a future transfer.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles forward has signed a four-year contract with Galatasaray, which begins with the 2025–2026 season. Under the terms, Osimhen will earn a net salary of €15 million per season, along with a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million annually in image rights.
“Professional football player Victor James Osimhen has been transferred following an agreement reached with his former club, SSCN Napoli S.p.A.,” Galatasaray stated.
“A net transfer fee of €75,000,000 will be paid. Additionally, 10% of any profit from a future sale will go to SSCN Napoli S.p.A.”
Osimhen spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray, where he enjoyed a successful spell, helping the club win both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
The former Lille striker received a hero’s welcome upon his arrival in Istanbul on Wednesday, July 30, as thousands of Galatasaray fans gathered at the airport to celebrate their new star signing.
Osimhen’s move marks the end of a memorable chapter at Napoli, where he became a fan favorite and played a pivotal role in delivering the club's historic Serie A title in the 2022–2023 season.
