As the 2027 general election approaches, lawyer and political commentator Deji Adeyanju has stated that former President Goodluck Jonathan is the only Southern politician capable of defeating President Bola Tinubu at the polls.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Adeyanju dismissed other Southern presidential hopefuls, labeling them as mere "content creators" who are simply entertaining their supporters.

He wrote:
“The only Southern candidate that can defeat Tinubu is GEJ, and he won’t run against Tinubu. All others are content creators amusing their supporters and Nigerians. This post will make sense to you after the 2027 election. Tinubu is not Buhari or GEJ.”
