Police Debunk Viral ‘Wanted’ Poster of Nollywood Actress Iyabo Ojo

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has disowned a viral “wanted” poster circulating online that falsely claimed Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo had been declared wanted.

The poster, which spread widely on social media, alleged that a reward had been placed for information leading to her arrest.

In a statement released on its verified Facebook page on Thursday, the NPF described the publication as fake and misleading.

“Fake news alert! This ‘wanted’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading, and was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard and stop spreading fake news. Verify only from official NPF channels,” the statement read.

The Police urged members of the public to ignore the poster and refrain from sharing false information.
