Singer Jhayco Arrested in Florida on Drug Possession Charges

Puerto Rican singer Jhayco was arrested in Florida after police allegedly found cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop.

According to an arrest report obtained by TMZ, officers observed Jhayco’s vehicle moving at just 5 mph before stopping in the middle of the road for over a minute. When they approached, the officer reported smelling marijuana and noticing white powder on the artist’s pants and nose.

Jhayco allegedly struggled to produce his driver’s license, and a records check showed none on file. A search of the car uncovered two black pouches containing about 14 grams of suspected cannabis, along with multiple baggies holding roughly two grams of suspected cocaine.

The singer reportedly told officers the white powder was not cocaine but “2C,” a synthetic psychedelic.

Known for collaborations with J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Kali Uchis, Jhayco was booked on charges of cocaine possession and possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis. His bond, set at just under $3,000, has since been posted.
