Diddy reportedly attacked in prison after inmate threatened him with a knife

One of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ close associates has revealed shocking details about a dangerous incident inside MDC Brooklyn, where the music mogul is currently serving his sentence.

According to Charlucci Finney, Diddy was jolted awake one night to find an inmate holding a knife to his throat — a moment that could have ended in tragedy. Finney told Daily Mail he wasn’t sure whether correctional officers stepped in or if Diddy managed to defend himself, but confirmed that the situation was extremely close to turning deadly.

Sources who spoke to TMZ backed Finney’s account, describing the encounter as a deliberate act of intimidation aimed at Diddy. Finney added that inmates with convictions related to sexual misconduct are often targeted in prison, which makes Diddy particularly vulnerable.

During Diddy’s sentencing, his attorney, Brian Steel, referenced the same incident, noting that a guard intervened before any serious harm occurred.

Diddy is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence for violating the Mann Act, which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for unlawful purposes. He was acquitted of the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Meanwhile, rumors have circulated suggesting that former U.S. President Donald Trump may be considering a presidential pardon for Diddy. Although the White House Communications Office has denied these reports, TMZ maintains that its sources stand by the claim.

Prison consultant Sam Mangel, speaking on TMZ Live, stated that Diddy will likely be transferred to a lower-security facility, which should reduce the risk of violence. However, he cautioned that the recent attack underscores the constant dangers of prison life.

Finney described the experience as “terrifying” and said Diddy’s friends and family remain deeply worried about his safety — a sobering reminder of how quickly situations can escalate behind bars.
