Dozens of men have been arrested in Indonesia for allegedly taking part in a same-s£x party at a hotel in Surabaya.
According to Mail Online, about 34 men were detained and later paraded by the police on October 19. Images from the scene showed the men barefoot and restrained with zip ties as they were escorted through the streets.
Hotel management claimed they were unaware of any party, stating that all rooms are private spaces under the full control of guests. A hotel representative explained that the individual who booked the rooms had rented two adjoining rooms and added that the hotel was particularly busy that weekend.
“The impact is quite disappointing because we've received some unpleasant feedback about our hotel,” the representative told CNN Indonesia, while assuring visitors that the establishment remains committed to ensuring privacy, security, and comfort for all guests.
The police raid reportedly took place around 1 a.m. local time after residents reported suspicious activity on one of the hotel’s floors. Officers seized evidence including contraceptives, mobile phones, and various electronic devices.
The Head of the Surabaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Edy Herwiyanto, confirmed that 34 suspects had been identified. He explained that while some were participants, others played organizational roles such as financiers, administrators, and assistants.
Police have yet to disclose the specific charges that will be filed against the suspects.
