Former Valencia manager Quique Sánchez Flores has claimed that Real Madrid winger Vinicius Júnior is tarnishing the club’s image with his recent conduct, especially during last Sunday’s El Clásico win.
Speaking on El Partidazo de Cope, Flores said the Brazilian forward should face disciplinary action for the way he reacted to manager Xabi Alonso after being substituted against Barcelona.
“The Vinicius situation is one that directly concerns Real Madrid’s management because it affects the club’s image,” Flores said.
“Vinicius is damaging Real Madrid’s reputation in front of millions of viewers, and it’s obvious the club needs to intervene. In this case, his attitude showed a lack of respect toward a teammate who trains with him daily and shares the same dressing room.”
Flores added that the matter goes beyond the pitch and impacts team harmony:
“I believe this affects the entire squad. It’s an issue the captain and the group need to address together.”
