Group from Southeast Offers to Cover Cost of APC Presidential Form for Tinubu’s 2027 Run

The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), a political support group, has pledged N200 million to cover the cost of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination form and campaign logistics for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

This commitment was announced during the inauguration and empowerment ceremony of SERHA’s Imo State chapter held in Owerri on Saturday. Belusochukwu Enwere, the group’s National Coordinator, reaffirmed their dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda and its extensive grassroots mobilization across the South-East region.

Speaking at the event, Enwere described President Tinubu as a “performing leader” who has refocused attention on key sectors such as infrastructure, education, and inclusive governance within the region.
“As ambassadors of Renewed Hope, we are committed to working tirelessly to secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027,” he stated. “Today, we present a cheque of N200 million towards the presidential nomination form and related campaign expenses.”

The ceremony also spotlighted major federal projects benefiting the South-East, including the recently approved $3 billion Eastern Rail Line, which Enwere hailed as the most significant infrastructure investment in the region’s history. The railway is expected to enhance trade, reduce transportation costs, and address longstanding regional marginalization.

He further praised the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), which will prioritize road construction, erosion control, and overall economic development in the region.

Enwere paid tribute to influential Imo State leaders, such as the late Chief Sam Mbakwe and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, while commending Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma for his developmental initiatives under the 3R Agenda.

As part of its empowerment drive, the event included distribution of motorcycles, minibuses, sewing machines, hairdressing kits, and cash grants to local residents to promote self-reliance.

Looking ahead, Enwere revealed that SERHA will embark on a comprehensive tour starting in August, covering all 95 local government areas and 2,344 wards across the five South-East states to galvanize grassroots support for Tinubu’s 2027 campaign.

“This is Southern Nigeria’s moment to complete eight years of leadership. The people of the South-East are fully resolved to ensure Tinubu’s victory in 2027,” he affirmed.
