“I’m Not Sick” – Ice Prince Addresses Drastic Weight Loss

Nigerian singer and rapper Ice Prince has opened up about his recent dramatic weight loss, emphasizing that it was not due to illness.

The ‘Oleku’ star explained that his previous excess belly weight resulted from an unhealthy lifestyle. Concerned family and friends encouraged him to make a change, prompting his recent transformation.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ice Prince credited producer Chopstix for supporting and motivating him throughout his weight loss journey.

He shared:

“God so good inna me life… A short story! I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices. Then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated. From that meeting, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner, and we walked my estate for an hour.

Uno chopper gist na normally for PhD students lol, but our talks during those walks are priceless to me, as every other thing we’ve both talked about since we were kids!!! Buss a shot fa ma true fren.”

Ice Prince’s story follows a trend of Nigerian celebrities making headlines for significant weight loss. In 2022, former plus-sized actress Eniola Badmus shed an impressive 80 kilograms, dropping from 170kg to 90kg. Earlier this year, actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie faced public scrutiny after her noticeable weight loss, later revealing it was due to a thyroid operation, which even prompted a brief cancer scare.
