Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World XI.
The 26-player shortlist for the global honour was unveiled on Monday, featuring nominees chosen through votes cast by professional footballers from across the world.
Alozie’s nomination crowns an exceptional year in which she played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s impressive run at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The Houston Dash right-back was a standout performer throughout the tournament, scoring the decisive goal in the Super Falcons’ semi-final victory over South Africa. Her stellar displays earned her a place in the WAFCON Team of the Tournament.
Alozie joins an elite list of defenders vying for the award, including Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Ellie Carpenter, Alex Greenwood, and Leah Williamson.
The final FIFPRO Women’s World XI will be announced on Monday, November 3, 2025.
