11 Players in Camp as Super Falcons Gear Up for WAFCON Qualifier Against Benin


Nigeria’s Super Falcons have intensified their preparations ahead of their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Benin Republic.

The team continued training on Tuesday, October 21, in Lome, Togo, where they are currently lodged at Hotel Sarakawa. Eleven players are now in camp as preparations gather pace.

The Falcons opened their training camp on Monday with nine players in attendance, including Asisat Oshoala, Folashade Ijamilusi, Taiwo Afolabi, Miracle Usani, Joy Omewa, Anderline Mgbechi, Blessing Illivieda, and Kafayat Mafisere. Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and midfielder Christy Ucheibe later joined the group to bring the total to eleven.

Benin Republic will host the first leg of the qualifier at the Stade de Kégué in Lome this Friday, while the return leg is scheduled for next Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
