The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has named former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, as Coalition Chair to oversee party affairs and lead reconciliation efforts in Kaduna State.
The appointment is part of the party’s broader strategy to resolve the ongoing internal crisis within its Kaduna chapter.
According to DAILY POST, Usman currently serves as the National Chairman of the Peter Obi faction of the Labour Party and replaces Julius Abure, who has been embroiled in controversy.
Speaking at a press briefing in Kaduna, ADC’s National Vice Chairman (North-West), Ja’afaru Sani, emphasized that the party was focused on fostering unity among opposition members while cautioning against political interference aimed at destabilizing the ADC in the state.
Sani further disclosed that coalition leaders had resolved to sanction expelled members who initiated legal action against a national leader of the party — a move he described as a distraction that has hindered the ADC’s growth.
