Liverpool Decide to Keep Manager Arne Slot Amid Poor Run

Liverpool have dismissed any notion of sacking their manager, Arne Slot, despite suffering six defeats in seven matches and crashing out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The Reds have endured a challenging spell under Slot, losing four consecutive Premier League games, which has seen them slip to seventh place in the league table. Slot’s side now trails Premier League leaders Arsenal by seven points.

Their struggles continued in the Carabao Cup as Liverpool suffered a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield on Wednesday night. Slot had made ten changes to the lineup from the team that lost to Brentford in last weekend’s Premier League clash.

The Reds’ poor form has sparked speculation over Slot’s future at the club. However, according to BBC Sport, Liverpool have no plans to review the Dutchman’s position, noting that the 47-year-old still has “plenty of credit in the bank.”

Slot enjoyed a historic debut season at Liverpool, leading the club to a Premier League title in his first year in charge.
