Justine Madugu and Bankole Olowookere have been shortlisted for the CAF Women’s Coach of the Year (2025) award.
Madugu led the Super Falcons to victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where they claimed a record-extending 10th continental title after a thrilling 3–2 win over the hosts in the final. He also earned a nomination for Women’s Coach of the Year at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony.
Bankole Olowookere, head coach of the Flamingos, is also in contention for the prestigious CAF award. Olowookere will aim to steer his side to their first-ever FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup title when the tournament kicks off in Morocco this month. The Flamingos are set to face Canada in their opening match on Sunday.
Additionally, Flamingos captain Shakirat Moshood has been nominated for the Women’s Young Player of the Year award.
Both the Super Falcons and the Flamingos are also among the nominees for the Women’s National Team of the Year category.
