The Hon. Nafiu Bala–led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding the party and restoring its lost integrity and glory.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, Bala alleged that certain politicians had infiltrated the ADC, insisting that such individuals have no legitimate place in the party.

He accused them of parading themselves as party leaders despite failing to meet the basic requirements for membership, describing their conduct as detrimental to the ADC’s unity and reputation.

According to Bala, the intrusion of these “political opportunists” has introduced negative tendencies that disrupted the party’s once-peaceful structure — a party many Nigerians once viewed as a promising opposition force ahead of the 2027 elections.

“We are working tirelessly, leaving no stone unturned, to restore the glory of our great party that has been infiltrated by political vagabonds who sneaked in through the back door,” Bala said.

He further alleged that the infiltrators were attempting to sow confusion among members and impose an unrecognised leadership on the party.

“We wish to make it categorically clear that those parading themselves as members without proper registration should immediately desist from tampering with the previously peaceful ADC structure,” he warned.

Bala also advised anyone interested in joining the ADC to follow due process by registering properly at the ward level in accordance with the party’s constitution.
