Nigerians have taken to social media to react to reports that one million copies of the Holy Bible will be distributed across the country in honour of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The announcement was made during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday, October 12, at the National Christian Centre in Abuja. According to organisers, the initiative aims to promote “moral renewal, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among young Nigerians.”
They revealed that the first batch of Bibles—earmarked for churches, schools, and youth ministries—will be distributed nationwide in the coming weeks. The thanksgiving service was also observed simultaneously in about 40 churches across Nigeria.
In a message delivered on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers for the honour.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have flooded social media platform X with mixed reactions, with some commending the gesture and others questioning the motive behind the large-scale distribution.
